Based in New York, AHA provides monthly support groups, educational presentations, conferences and online resources for individuals on the autism spectrum, their families, professionals and others.

We regularly review our aims and objectives and welcome input and discussion from our regular supporters. The key requirements and guidelines for local authorities and the NHS were laid down by the Autism Act in and these provided significant challenges and opportunities for improvements to be made in the way services were set up and delivered. Bournemouth, Poole and East Dorset were the first to benefit from the establishment of the Community Adult Asperger Service CAAS but nevertheless there remain many issues which are unresolved, not least the need for similar services in the rest of the county and for better and more extensive post diagnostic services.

Our thanks to Autism Speaks Canada for the funding that allowed us to offer three great programs to Manitoba youth and families — Launch into Life! We will have a copy of our final report on this project available in April and look forward to continuing to work to improve the lives of those with ASD and their families in the future. These two support groups meet usually on the last Monday of the month, pm to pm. No membership required, just come to Sherbrook Street and ask at reception where they are being held that day.
We are a collaborative, peer-facilitated support group run by and for late-diagnosed mature autistic ASD adults who live in or who have recently moved to the Portland, Oregon metro area. For example, we routinely address concerns related to housing, access to community resource providers and agencies, employment and adult relationships. Because other Portland metropolitan groups and community services accommodate persons with child behavior, parenting, and intensive personal support needs, in our monthly three-hour meetings we do not have the capacity to address these needs.
