Karlos Te Kahu was walking through an alley near his Flaxmere home on Friday afternoon when he stumbled upon the unconscious year-old boy. Last night, the teenager was in a stable condition in Hawkes Bay Hospital, spokeswoman Anna Kirk said. The Flaxmere community was already reeling from the sudden deaths of two other Flaxmere College students. It is understood the two girls were friends with the year-old boy, another Flaxmere College student.
