Whether in Fatal AttractionBasic Instinct or Unfaithfulaffairs possess an intoxicating thrill initially, but then everything goes to hell: relationships are destroyed, lives are shattered, the pet bunny gets it. But the mood it conjures up is nonetheless arresting. The relationship between the four characters before the affair is established.
So the first thing to be said is that peeping Toms wanting to see Nicole Kidman in the buff will have to settle for a passing glimpse fielded with a thankful lack of coyness by the star. The most obvious motif in The Blue Room is sex, in all its many guises. In the play, sex is shared between a prostitute and a john, a student and an older, married woman, a politician and his wife, an artist and a model, an actress and a writer, and so on and on. Though Eno made the majority of creative decisions during the recording sessions, "Your Blue Room" was one of the few tracks that the members from U2 tried to craft themselves.
